Message I know all about that coil pack connector coming off. It happen to me all the time when I do burn outs. Not sure why it happens, like the motor shifts or something enough to pull the number one pack off. I can tell when it happens, because once I let off the gas, major rough as idle and shaking. Happen at the track this past summer as well. I did a very mean burn out and spin out 20ft to the line to line up. I'm on the crowed side and many are on the fence line 15ft from me staging. Once I let off the gas to stage, I knew it happen again. Car was shaken, idle like car way off balance. But I was the only Z out of at least 150 other cars racing that night. So pride got the best of me and I wasn't getting out and lifting the hood at this point. So I ran it on 5 cylinders and got a 14.2 at 104 mph. It was popping and stuttering all the way down. I lost to a Formula TA/Firebird that run as well. Again, this was with a tranny with a fired 2nd gear that wont speed shift.

Ever since then, I fixed that problem to where it will never happen again. I ran zip ties around every coil pack. Now there's no chance in hell of one coming off. The embarrassment was enough for me.

STAGE V++++
Going to XIII and beyond :)
