it's a buddy of mine in one of the car clubs i associate with (xmas party tommorow!!) It was March 7th 2002. I had gotten off work early to go have dinner with my Grandma at my mom's house. (It's true, I go to have dinner with my Nonie. I'm not making it up to better the story!) Anyway, I was going east on Walnut Hill in the left hand lane when the car in front of me stopped to make a left hand turn. I pulled up behind him and waited for him to turn. I watched in my rearview mirror as Louis Castillo, txdl#09379457 of 3765 Durango in Dallas, TX 75220, phone # 214-288-4043, came barreling down on me in his piece of shit late 80's Mercury Cougar license plate #n43jcf. I watched the whole way, unable to move because of the car in front of me, as Louis Castillo, txdl#09379457 of 3765 Durango in Dallas, TX 75220, phone # 214-288-4043, plowed into me from behind. I don't think he even hit his brakes until right before impact. I'm guessing he hit doing about 40mph and thusly pushed me into the car in front of me. I got out to see my Rivi on fire right next to the open gas tank where my gas cap had flown off during impact. I tried in vain to stomp out the flames but luckily some guy ran up with a jug of antifreeze and put out the flames. The cops and fire trucks came and when the cop asked if everybody had insurance. Guess who said, "No, senor." You got it, Louis Castillo, txdl#09379457 of 3765 Durango in Dallas, TX 75220, phone # 214-288-4043, didn't have any f***in insurance! When the cop asked what happened Louis Castillo stated, "I no see him". The cop moved us off the street to a parking lot. My car still started and drove. To make out the report Louis Castillo, txdl#09379457 of 3765 Durango in Dallas, TX 75220, phone # 214-288-4043, then lied to the cop by stating he did have insurance but just didn't have his card on him. The cop filled everything out and told me I was basically screwed and sent us on our way. Apparently, in Texas, it's the law that you must have insurance on your vehicle but if you get in a wreck and don't have insurance, hey no big deal, they'll just write you a ticket and that's it. As we are all getting in our cars to leave, Louis Castillo, txdl#09379457 of 3765 Durango in Dallas, TX 75220, phone # 214-288-4043 gets in his p.o.s. Mercury Cougar, license plate #n43jcf, and proceeds to back up and hit the front of my '65 Rivi. I couldn't F*%^^ING believe it. I told the cop. He couldn't believe it. Of course Louis Castillo, txdl#09379457 of 3765 Durango in Dallas, TX 75220, phone # 214-288-4043 claimed, "me no see him" again. I asked the cop if he was drunk or what. The cop said no he's just stupid. The cop then told Louis Castillo, txdl#09379457 of 3765 Durango in Dallas, TX 75220, phone # 214-288-4043 to leave his p.o.s. Mercury Cougar license plate #n43jcf there for the night and get a ride home with his amigo. I drove to my mom's house, sick to my stomach, disgusted with the whole f"in system and proceeded to cuss in front of my grandma for the first time in 32 years. She took it pretty well. I have a lawyer friend looking into it for me but he doesn't give me much hope. So if you're ever in Dallas, maybe you should pay Louis Castillo a visit. I don't know how you could find him, after all Dallas is a pretty big city, but if you do…say hello for me. P.S.
I am parting out my '65 Rivi, so if you want it or parts of it let me know. It has a good rebulit 401 nailhead and rebuilt tranny along with many other good hard to find pieces. Charitable donations will also be gladly accepted. bubba
