Message No problem, Bryan. :-) I think it was the speed vision supra. I understand there're many factors that determines a turbo's performance. But IMO, turbine plays the major part of it. Take 2540 for example, it's very inefficient. It has To4B's compressor, but the turbine is GT25's turbine, too small to let all that air out and it generates back pressure to compound the problem. Another example, take T78 vs T88. Both have TD08 compressor, T78 has TD07 turbine, T88 has TD08 turbine (T88 also has a bigger compressor wheel, 66mm vs 71mm). T78 normally put down mid-600rwhp, T88 can put out 100+rwhp more. Compressor makes boost but it's the turbine that determines how much air can flow out of it.
Either way, I think both our turbos will pump out big numbers. It won't hurt my ego if yours beat mine. :-)
