Message as the stock or even urethane will allow play under heavy braking. It is very crisp and braking is totally straight without wobble. Even brand new bushings have play in them which allows the wheels to slightly move back and forth in the well... When the car is sitting on the ground, the ball joint is centered in itself - the hole in the ball is perpendicular to the plane of the body. This helps to distribute the load evenly across the joint - uneven loading on it will prematurely wear out the ball I'm sure.. No washers, nope. I'm pulling it all out this weekend anyway for inspection and measurement to put together the diagrams for them.. I will be putting washers in there, which will be cadmium plated as well as replacing all of the bolts with cadium plated ones to eliminate corrosion. The rod itself will be powdercoated. I'm looking into getting my own electroplating kit for things just like this. Electroplating is some really cool stuff.
