Over the weekend, I gave my TBs to Miles for porting. I got them back on Sunday and they look good! Thanks Miles! The throttle response is good, but I cannot gauge by the seat of my pants what HP gain there might be since we've had a lot of rain here lately and the roads are slick. It might just be me, but the engine seems more responsive with less gas pedal input even without the rag I left in the intake plenum hose. Yep, that's right. After working in the pouring rain trying to put everything back together b/c I needed the car for work today, I started it up and it all seemed fine. I gassed the car and the idle wouldn't go down. 2200rpms, then 3400rpms? WTF? Hmm...looked under the hood and the driver's TB wasn't returning to the closed position. Pulled off the intake hose and there was a hose I left to STOP things from going into the plenum. All I can say is thank god the butterfly caught that rag. Ironically that rag almost became the very type of thing I didn't want going into my engine. Overall too much work in the cold rain, laying on the blacktop trying to get dropped tools from under the car=the opp to make too many boneheaded mistakes. LOL! Hey, it all turned out well and I'm just ironing out a few idle bugs in between the rain drops today. A big thanks to Miles and here are a couple links to pics for anyone who may want Miles to port those TBs for you. I'm told I may gain about 8hp across the RPM band. Any input/Q's/comments here people? BTW, if anyone wants a pic of the rag, I threw it away in a fit of rage. La-Z-Link La-Z-Link
