Some may feel thsi goes on "Technical". If so, sorry in advance =) So last night Im crawling around under my dash with a flashlight trying to find shorts, broken wires, etc. to solve this wierd electrical prob Im having that you may have seen on Tech forum...I come across this plastic box near the fuses, that obviously wasnt stock. Tons of wires poured into this thing, WTF...
I pull this box out after some work, and turn it over:
"REMOTE STARTING SYSTEM"
What on Earth. Upon further investigation I notice my clutch switch wires had been cut and covered so as to allow the car to start with the clutch in!
Does anyone have one of these?
Where do all these friggin wires go, and if I remove this thing is there anything I need to reconnect so that my car will still start, etc? Im in awe at the amount of things that are in my car that I was totally unaware of: gutted pre-cats, underdrive pulley, JWT ECU, playstation controllers wired through my center console...Remote starter system, blah blah ad infinitum... If my car had a name, it would be "Bastard Child" =) LaterZ
