Message And like the others said must have been highly modded. Despite the fact the IROC's use to be notoriously fast teenage killers, and insurance wreckers, My friend routinely beats a modded one in his stock lt1 ws6 (250rwhp). But the guy could have thrown a lot of money into the motor and he must have to keep up with you on the high end. It isnt real hard to make those cars rip off the line, but up high is where turbo cars usually prevail.

One thing to keep in mind though.. Th closeness could be due to your shift poings. You said you started in 3rd at high revs... your car actually would have done better if you start it in 4th closer to 4-4.5k rpm depending on what speed you stated at. Higher then that your already past your cars peak rpm, and you have a shift in there sooner to slow you down. I learned about this when racing another member here on the freeway. We both had ttz, identical mods, we were dead even all the way through third gear then all of a sudden he takes off like a ufo, a moment later i shift into 4th a little past readline and i dont even come close to catching him as he walks away. Afterwards he explained to me buy shifting so late in third i dropped into 4th after my peak power band, and if I would have shifted into 4th earlier dropping in directly at 4.5krpm like he did I would have been dead even with him. And its true, I've tried this since and it makes a lot of difference.

Good kill though. And Keep it safe.
