1). You crack me up with the 'dyno queen' comment. I can think of few people who would consider ANY 300Z a dyno queen. 2). As for your issue with high oil temps. Have you ever thought you might be experiencing a problem because of your electric fans? I can name a variety of board memebers who have installed electric fans and subsequently removed them because of high coolant temperatures. I realize yours was an oil temp issue, but the two are related. 3). The argument about spending money on a FMIC and not being willing to share a negative outcome goes against the very grain of tt.net. Part of this board's function is to share experiences, both good and bad, with respect to performance parts. We observe this sharing of information on a daily basis. I would be the first one to throw my hand in the air and yell 'ouch' if I had a FMIC that caused problems - regardless of how much $$ was spent on it. 4). I will not argue that a FMIC and oil cooler in front of a radiator could lead to a slight increase in coolant temps. That stems from the simple fact that the air hitting the radiator has been heated somewhat. Now, is this difference enought to be significant? I would say no based on the feedback I have received from numerous FMIC owners. I believe Mike W. alreay mentioned the individual here in Texas who has been running his Border FMIC for years with no adverse experiences. 5). As for you being a REAL RACER, I am assuming that you use your car in a road racing capacity. Is this the only area where your car experiences a heating issue? If so, perhaps a FMIC would not be a good purchase for someone looking strictly to road race. 6). I will be sharing my results with the FMIC shortly and will be able to provide accurate temp numbers for oil and coolant based on Texas driving with AC attached. B.
