Message You can claim all day and night that the B&B makes more hp than other aftermarket exhausts on the TT Z, but where's dyno sheets of the same car with the different exhausts, hmm? I would bet that all of the various free-flowing aftermarket exhausts produce roughly the same hp as one-another. Mike (La Canada) and Greg (Dallas) both seem to be doing fine with their GReddy exhausts, and I'm sure there's countless others out there who wouldn't gain enough hp to matter by switching their GReddy/HKS/Brullen/Stillen exhausts for a B&B. One could argue that the Hiper would make the most horsepower out of any aftermarket exhaust, since it's so free-flowing and lightly bent that you can see through it from one end to the other (as Wolf proved in a pic some time back, IIRC.) The Hiper is also a tad under 3", which you'd have to pay extra to get with a B&B.

As for looks, they're obviously subjective. Personally, I think the B&B looks boring with its stock-style appearance. I prefer the canister muffler look of the GReddy PE myself. Hell, I'd even go with the N1 race-style look of the HKS Hiper before the boring B&B.

Sound is subjective also, and having heard both (and others) in person, I prefer the sound of the GReddy exhausts over the B&B on the TT. The B&B drones a lot, especially in-cabin during freeway driving. It's also unnecessarily deep, unless you get your kicks by setting off car alarms. Sure you could add (buy) add-on resonators for it, but that's extra hassle and could potentially lose some of the precious negligible hp you'd gain over other aftermarket exhausts. And a B&B on an NA is just silly loud.

And the GReddy exhausts and Hiper both sell for $600-$650; is the B&B really worth half-again more? Save the money and buy an intake, pulley, boost controller, AFC, etc.

Bottom line: B&B is overpriced, overrated, boring in looks, and isn't nearly as good of a value as the GReddy or HKS exhausts.

Bring on the flames, B&B whores =)
