Message I'm satisfied for now. This was my first REAL time drag racing the TT and first time ever running on drag radials (16" Goodrich Comp T/As).

First thing, DAMN! drag radials kick much ass. I had NO IDEA the amount of difference they would make compared to street tires. First run, it actually grabbed and took off so fast, I let my foot of the gas and had a totally crappy 60' time. Anyway, I don't recall on any of my runs actually squealing tires at any point, although they would slip some.

Run 1 (against Genic): 13.4 w/ a 2.5 60' time. Trap 111mph.

Run 2 (the good one): 12.78 w/ a 2.2 60' time. Trap 116mph.

Run 3 (another crappy one): 13.5, 2.5 60' and 106mph trap.

Run 4 (bit again. Against Wesman's 350Z): 13.4, 2.2 60' and 107mph trap.

So, you can see I'm all over the board. My launching skills completely suck, but I'm happy for the first time out. There were almost ZERO imports out there, and quite a few heads turned when the hood went up in the staging area :-)

Of the other imports that were out, it was mostly F&F idiots whose great idea was to push the cars completely through the staging area until the final staging lanes where they would rev incessantly until they got to the line (gee, what was all the pushing supposed to accomplish Einstein?). Then they would proceed to run high 15 low 16 second times while all the Fbodies, vettes, ponies, are laughing their asses off.

Gives us all a great rep... I'll scan and post time slips later. Most are embarrassing but I'm happy with the 12.7 :-)

Mr. K gets it!
