: This is a follow-up to my post from yesterday(11-07/2002) : http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=713350 ]">Thinking about "SL103" for porting and polishing?: Here are some pics of the "porting" work Shawn Lane(SL103) did for me... : : In this shot you can see an example Shawn Lane's(SL103) "porting" work
: You can also see on this photo that Shawn(SL103) didn't bother sanding/polishing the underside of the plenum at all as. Noted in the photo comments, you can clearly see the difference[upper right corner of pic] in the work which has already been redone versus the work of Shawn(SL103). : : Here is a close-up of Shawn's "porting" work
: Meanwhile, he sent me an e-mail making excuses and admitting the sloppy work. Here is an excerpt...
: THE FACT -> i let you down, your mad, and dissapointed with the work, ME -> I FUCKED UP, I RUSHED THROUGH, not giving your work the most of my time and tried to finish it to make you happy because it was taking awhile past my posted deadline. -- Shawn Lane(SL103), Oct 22, 2002 : A few days lated, Charlie(mal1ce) had the opportunity to take a number of items for flow testing at Stoid Racing in Dallas. He posted the results here on the forum. Stoid Racing reported that the results from Shawn's "porting" work were "nominal" as compared to stock. : nom-i-nal adj. - so small as to be virtually nothing.: As I had *now* lost all confidence in his ability to properly do the work, I respectfully requested a complete refund. I have yet to hear back from him though he has logged on to TwinTurbo.net as recently as this morning(11/08/2002) and posted a Classified Ad as recently as Wednesday(11/06/2002). : Meanwhile, I would like to thank those individuals here who've e-mailed me expressing their concerns and regrets regarding this minor setback.
