Message Yesterday was a good day :-)

Finally got to get the two main guys who built my car to take her for a spin. Mal1ce took it out at lunch, and Damon tried to pull wheelies last night.

After lunch, I received my boost leak checker from wcoffey. Plugged it in and found 7 leaks located below:

The ones circled were the minor leaks due to bad clamps. One major leak was the upper inside bolt on my driver's side intercooler bracket was missing. For those that don't know, the bolt hole goes all the way through to the core of the intercooler, so I basically had an 8mm hole in my intake system!! I highly recommend getting a tool of this sort as NONE of the leaks that are pictured would have been found with the naked eye. They all appeared to be clamped properly.

Fixing all of those things allowed me to boost quicker and higher on the same duty settings so I need to retune my AFC and reset the AVC-R now. It also evened my idle out dramatically. She purrs at idle now. Before it was somewhat erratic, but not terrible.

Finally, after dropping Damon off last night I ran across a late model Cobra. I lined up on him and thought he punched it so I ripped it in 2nd gear... had him by 2-3 cars at the TOP OF 2nd, so I think he must've let off. He didn't mess around for a while, but then the traffic cleared in my lane, he jumped behind me and I thought something might happen. I sped up a bit to give him room to come around beside me, and guess what happens?

I see him hammer it and start a GM pass. Well if you know me, you know I won't stand for that. I readied the poo-stick, and just as he was passing my rear bumper at full throttle, I punched it (3rd gear). He got about 3/4 in front of me and then it was all over.. I ripped past him and had 3 cars before I ran out of 3rd. I saw him slow down quickly and took the first turn to the left.

Another successful outing :-)

Mr. K gets it!
