Sorry it is not Z related, but I thought I could get some help here before the insurance adjuster gives me a ring..... On Nov 1st I was rear ended and shoved into a car in front of me. The guy behind me admitted fault and the beginning of the claim process has begun. The NADA value of my car is $5850 - $1575 (mileage)= 4275. I was told that to Total the car the estimated repairs has to be 60% of the value, can anyone verify this? This would make the Total Loss threshold $2565, estimates are at $3078. If they do "Total" the car would they have to give me the $4275 my vehicle is worth? What should I accept as a settlement? I really don't want to fix the car just because I will never be able to sell it for what I have in it. Thanks! One other question, why the hell did the air bags not engage? Aren't they supposed to deploy when contact is more than 15MPH (I was hit at around 20-25MPH)? Thanks!
