I haven't been on here much lately because I don't really think of myself as a Z'er anymore, i've been really bummed lately....I've been meaning to post this sooner, but ive been so busy with school and marching band and work. But for those of you who did not know me im a 17 year old senior in high school. My parents bought my dads friends 300ZX NA from him in November of 2000, Paid 2500$...well this past July...the 16th i believe...I was down in Panama City Beach with my family....had the greatest weekend ever. We got down there, i took the Z, of course...gotta cruise in the Z. Well i got to ride in one of my moms friends Ferraris....a 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena...VERY nice, Fastest car ive ever ridden in, we were cruising at 150mph on a highway leaving the beach...there was a little traffic so he was skeptical to go faster with me riding with....well that Saturday night i took the last cruise in the Z ever....i went riding up and down the strip a few times there in PCB checking out the chicks and other nice cars....well i got back to the condo and went to bed. Next morning it was time to leave, we left the condo, ate lunch and started our 90 min drive back to Dothan Alabama. About halfway home i started to see clouds forming, and right at the Bay County/Jackson Line it started to rain at a decent amount...and it had obviously been raining there for a while....this highway wasnt exactly the best kept, and had traffic divits....where most traffic had driven...and water accumulated there....as any driver would do in rain, i slowed down...i was traveling at about 45mph in a 65mph zone....and i started going down a hill, hit the divits which had a huge puddle and lost total control of the Z. The back end just swung around to the right side and i slid sideways through the grass median about 100 yards and into oncoming traffic...clipped the front passenger side of the Z into a toyota camry, the camry fishtailed off the road and noone was hurt, then a lincoln towncar slammed into the rear passenger side of the Z...totaled the lincoln...then a suburban barely missed the lincoln and clipped part of the camry.....all in all 4 vehicles were damaged...the Z and the Lincoln were totaled. Im parting out the Z right now...im 95% sure the engine, transmission and differential are still ok, ive got part of the car disassembled, still removing pieces of the front frame....and the interior is halfway taken apart.....the purpose of this post is to offer my Z parts to you guys... Anyone needing parts off of a 1990 nissan 300ZX NA...Email me and tell me what you need and ill see if its still good on the car...if it is..ill write back and offer a price....since i know most of you from here ill probably cut you a good deal...put ZPARTS as the subject in the email.
Im trying to get this thing parted out and sold....i think my big money makers will be the engine (1995 engine with approx. 90K miles...just had 60K maintenance done), the tranny, the diff, the drivers side door and front fender (near perfect shape), and the dash and gauge pod...so if your interested email me at Viper2Fast@aol.com and ill get back to you.... PS...Im looking to buy a Subaru WRX....fast...yet its a 4-door..so it should have decent insurance....any opinions on that?
