the more octane the better is not true......also running lead one time with cats will kill them....Lead coats the cats and will permenantly make them useless. As far as octane goes, Only enough to stop preignition and/or detonation is all that is needed. Octane is not the measure of the fuel's power output, it is only a measure of its resistance to preignition and detonation. 105 is plenty high enough to surpress detonation with stock turbos, Even at 19 psi. When you use fuels with higher octane #s then 105, It will usually change your fuel mixture because the burn rates are usually higher or in a few cases lower. 100,101 104 and 105 are usually similar burn rates to pump fuel. 02 sensors can handle small amounts of lead from time to time.....Cats will not live with any lead.
