except.... :) : The BASIC system that you had isn't worth $1k (which is why it sells for $640... lol). It is supposed to be overkill... it works just as a factory traction control unit would... detects a bit of slippage and kills a chunk of power. (In case anyone was wondering, the "I agree" part is supposed to be sarcastic... lol). yup. i bought the basic kit. it is non adjustable via the remote control. all i have is on or off. BUT, as you know, you can change your initial settings. which i attempted to do. I tried to get the thing to work where i would be happy (more slip, less fuel cut). the standard setup for the non adjustable traction control unit is rediculous. it is definently not a performance program. it's over sensitive and cuts dramatically. in a straight line it works well enough. In the turns, it's totally rediculuous. so much fuel cut is in place, that it feels like i am driving a ford taurus.
: HOWEVER, The ADJUSTABLE unit on the other hand is well worth the money... especially when you throw in the goodies like launch control and full throttle shift. Every person I've spoken with keeps their unit on 100% of the time (myself included)... if anybody cares, read what happened to Orion's Z when he turned off his TC for just a few minutes (in the link below).
the folks i mentioned who will not speak up have either the basic adjustable kit, the full throttle shift model, or all three.

tires in traction. It makes going faster that more fun. As a example, here is SoCal there is a run called the Shelter
Valley, starts in Shelter Valley and ends at I8, east SD county.
Its 26 miles long through the middle of nowhere desert. Lots of slow,
mid and of course HIGH speed corners and lets don't forget the straight
aways, one is about 2 miles. Last time I made the run
it took me 14 min's or about a avg of 112mph, today 12 min's
