It takes a Stage III my ass. Sorry to be harsh, but that is plain BS. It is simple, they are similar in weight cars and the Supra only has a little more torque and Hp. That is not enough to really beat a ZTT (both stock that is). Think about the RX-7 vs. NSX (Both similar weight, but the RX-7 is quicker with less power). It'll have a nose on the Z (given the extra power, if both are driven the same, unlikely in this world) if all you care about is 0-60 and 1/4mi. times. Give it more open road, it won't edge by much on the ZTT! DISCLAIMER: for JAck B. and other Supra TT flamers: The Supra TT is a great car. The Supra TT is only slightly quicker than the ZTT, but not by much that it makes any real difference (Only if you take a few tenths of seconds make all the difference in the world, just try that on the street or track, thats where it really counts). We always compare the results of super drivers, there aren't any of those around when we need them :/. Also, Dyno's are done in controlled settings, it doesn't mean much when you are driving the car in 99% of situations. As for the track (I dunno if many of you make it out there) but how many Supra TT's do you see? I've never seen one, neither have others; you will see a few NSX's, Z's and Rx-7's as the Japanese reps but never any Supras. What does this tell you? Track racing really uses a cars ability and demonstrates its true potential as a function of all its components. Supras sit and do straight line excercises like American cars with crappy handling. What a waste of the Supra's handling because it doesn't mean anything on the drag strip. An integral part of our (>50%, any car can be made to go fast, not all can handle) Japanese Supercars was their handling potential, why not use them? I believe and dare say that the Z is the better track car than the Supra. Overall handling and setup, it just cuts through more easily. Enough said.Peace,
