I took a reading 3 times after an oil change once. Even though the oil pressure read correctly, even though every thing sounded/smelt/felt right, I checked it out of general practice. First time, very bottom level of stick. Next time, no oil. Third time low level. So I add about a 8th of a quart to fill. Rev it, blue white smoke out the tail. Sweet. Just wasted 3+ quarts of Mobil 1. Glad it wasn't Redline or Amosil.
