The new GTs are fast, I know, I've driven one. They can move, and I don't know what my Stage V NA would do against one (haven't had the chance to run). But it seems like the lean here is going toward this being a 1/4 mile run from a dead stop, the Mustang's specialty. His race was on a roll, and beyond 1/4 mile for sure, since neither of those cars would reach 120+ mph in the quarter. So the majority of the race was in the Z's element - already rolling and at higher speeds. Keep that in mind, and the fact that the race didn't require a standing launch, and it is believable.
