Message	(and got a 4.0 in, BTW) were (from a top 15 school also).I agree that ethically the guy is obligated to buy the car, but I guarantee that a judge would let Ed out of the contract and refund his deposit if he went to court. The only reason I could see the judge not ruling in his favor would be if he signed a contract to buy the car for a significant amount more than the fair market value of the car.
