here's an interesting story for you guys: i was pulling out of a gas station and proceeded about a block up when a cop flicks on the lights and pulls me over. no idea why. he comes over and asks for license and registration and tells me that my exhaust (hks hipers) is too loud. so i'm waiting while he punches me up in the computer. he walks back over and tells me that my insurance is expired. i know for a fact that i have coverage on the vehicle. the date on the card was not expired but his computer stated otherwise. then it happens... he tells me to step out of the car and tells me to turn around. he then cuffs me!! what the hell did i do?? he tells me that my insurance expired and they have to do a background check back at the station. this was absolutely ridiculous. i'm getting arrested for a supposedly expired insurance. so one cop puts me in the back seat of the police car and the other one gets in my car to drive it back to the station. he fires up the engine and the z starts rolling backwards and almost hits the cop car cuz he didn't get the clutch working right. the other cop takes me back to the station and we're waiting for the guy to show up with my car and he does after some time. the cop i was waiting with says, "he probably took it out for a spin". then they bring me into the station, puts me in a holding cell with 6 other people. they tell me to take off my shoe laces so i don't hang myself while waiting. crazy. then i'm in there waiting for an hour when a different cop working at the desk asks me what i was in there for. i told him that i was pulled over for a loud muffler and you know what he said to me? he says, "what are you driving, a clown car?". what the hell. then they tell me i have to change my license plate cuz it attracts too much attention from cops. go figure. finally, the report comes back clean with no problems, so they just let me go. they told me that they're gonna be nice and not give me a ticket for the muffler. i wasted 2 hours of my time cuz of a loud muffler. and you know what i found out?? the cop who pulls me over drives rex. his car is probably hooked up like crazy. argh... you gotta love nyc. p.s. hello to all those i haven't spoken to in a while. hope all is well...
