tries to maintain a democracy without a series of checks and balances, Democracy errodes into dictatorship. While Dictatorship does in deed stand very far away, the point I was trying to make is that is the direction we are headed. While he may never become dictator, He is certainly claiming for himself more power then a president was meant to have, reshaping polocies and disrupting the power balance. Regarldess of his intent, It is something that shouldn't be ignored. Oh and one more thing. On a side note. Students no longer have the freedom of Speech. George W. bush spoke at the graduation ceremony for my school, The Ohio-State University. After Ohio-states meething with Bush officials, they decided how they would handle Students who didn't support the President. A group of protestors decided they would quietly protest their distaste for his leadership by turning their back to him durring his speach. Their freedom of Speech got them escorted off premises, and they were Denied, Yes dennied their college Diploma. The students were warned before his speach too that if they Did not "clap" for the president, they too would be denied a Diploma.
