1 thought at a time. Now granted the human brain can proccess millions a second or whatever but only 1 at any one milisecond. the human brain cannot read pain if you are truly concentrating on something else. this has been proven in many eastern meditation areas. martial artists know and so do the people who meditate. you can actually concentrate and slow your own heart rate to the point of almost stopping it. But you can block pain by totally concentrating on something else. the human brain can process many things at an astounding rate, but it cannot do 2 things at the exact same time. Even if you drive and talk your brain is actually swapping back and forth at an amazing rate. But it is not truely processing 2 things at the exact same time. it does it so fast it may seem to do it. just think, have you ever been in a deep though about something while cruising down the interstate at 70. Then realized you have traveled a mile or so and do not even recall it???? This has been proven by many a doctors and scientists. I am not making it up. Ask any neurosurgeon, they understand as much as anyone about brain function.
