We're on a 300ZX board. We all know the finer details of our cars and what our Z's can do at the track. If some kid came up to you and told you that he read some magazine article and they said the Z ran mid 14's, you'd think he was an idiot. Now in our situation, I have hung out on LS1 forums and with people who OWN LS1's and I know what the owners run with their cars. I really don't care what shitty times you can dig up in magazine articles. You're trying to tell me the HP those cars have by showing me crummy magazine articles that just repeat what GM tells them, I'm telling you what *ACTUAL OWNERS get on the DYNO!* I think a dyno test more accurately tells what kind of HP that car is putting out, don't you? If a guy with a T/A WS6 is putting out 318 HP to his rear wheels, then when you figure in the nominal 15% loss going through the drivetrain you see that his engine is putting out 374 HP. I don't care what you say a magazine article says his car should put out, the dyno is telling you what the car IS putting out! Let's not forget that GM is trying to sell a more expensive car, the Corvette. They're not going to openly admit that their Camaro delivers the same acceleration for a lower price. Go to [ www.ls1.com/forums ] and educate yourself. Go on there and tell them that a stock LS1 runs high 13's, not low 13's. Watch how many people show you timeslips and laugh you off the board.
