Message	At speed, tire spin is not an issue, even with 400+rwhp. The shorter sidewalls on 18" tires don't roll like they do on 15-16" rims. They are also lighter. 17-18" Wheels are a little heavier, but not much, and they allow the use of larger brakes and in the case of TT's the use of wider wheels/tires, for even more grip in the twisties, because they will clear suspension members. If you want handling larger wheels, shorter tires are the route to go.
