I've been trying to sell my Z for some time now. And I've had a lot of interest, along with 6 or 8 serious buyers. But every one of those buyers has had troubles obtaining financing. Apparently, most lenders won't give loans for cars older than 1995 model. And the ones that will, only loan about 80% of blue book value. Lenders don't care about selling price either. Since none of these buyers have had the cash to make up the difference between loan amount and selling price - no deal:( I understand not everyone has thousands in surplus cash - so, I'm curious how buyers/sellers have dealt with this situation. Thanks!
