I stumbled across TT.net about two weeks ago as I surfed for info regarding Z's. I just purchased a black 90'tt which is currently undergoing work in the shop(2 new pistons). I know as much about engines as pesident clinton knows about monogamy, but do hope to learn. The previous owner recently informed me of some mod's my car has.With they exception of a few they include; -HKS Intake -Technique suspension -2 extra fuel injectors -Gretty exhaust downpipe thru -Bronze clutch -Stillen intercooler -gretty boost control -HKS turbotimer -EVC -Exhaust temp gauge -electronic volt meter -Blowout valves
Though I've briefly been informed of each mod's purpose I hardly understand the big picture. Here are my questions- 1)Is there any text desinged for z32 engine illiterate's I can acquire or should I begin by researching engines in thier most simplicit design to learn the basics? 2) In creating my profile under the members heading I am asked about the cars stage. I did take the time to read the FAQ and found that it answered many of my questions though it seemed vague in adressing Z's thier appropriate stage. Can anyone tell me what stage my car is with respect to the mod's listed above? I am thrilled to own a Z32!!!! It should be out of the shop in a week. Last time I drove a Z(my fathers NA about 8 yrs) I wrecked it's tail by crashing into a hotel a 60 mph. Luckily no one was hurt. I drive a nissan stanza right now that does 0-60 in just under 5 minutes so from what I understand I'm in for quite a change of pace. I would love any info concerning the message I have posted.
