...the fucking things were so overpriced to begin with that even when they take a deep drop in depreciation, they still list at a high price. Does that make them a better car? No. They are great cars, but there's nothing objective about them that makes them better than a Z. Preference for a Z or a Supra is subjective. Nowhere is it carved in stone that the Supra is the be-all, end-all of the Japanese sports cars. So to see a Supra sell for $25k, big deal - the thing was listed at $50k new, and even Toyota showed how much they were artifically bloating the pricetag back in 97 or 98 when they cut over $10k off the bottom line price, and made a ton of options standard, to where you could pick up a new one at an adjusted cost of $15k or more cheaper than an identical Supra from the year before. Selling price in the secondhand market doesn't mean shit about a car's relative desirability compared to another car, unless you look at a lot of other factors besides the resale price.
