I talked to AEM about there ECU and what they told is that they could provide me with completely base program with a universal cable and If I could wire it up to the stock ECU they would support me. They wouldn't include any maps or etc but they would provide tuning assistance as I develope one. That sounded pretty good but the problem I had with was that I would basically have to develope a map for them and without anything provided for my time. As far as fuels something you may not be aware of is that if you run C16 to dyno tune when you go back to pump gas to drive around the car won't run very well. What alot of people doing is run around 4 gallons of 104 and 1 gallon of C16. I don't think I will find a need to run VP104 or C16 all the time. At 19PSI or so you should have plenty of power to run with about everyone. Only that 1% of the people will you have to worry about. And after you run them a few times the issue would be settled :-)
