Thank you for the kind words Carlos. I will give you a discount on the next item you buy from me LOL :-) Unfortunatley the fact of the matter is the Z 5-sp tranny is only good to about 650rwhp. Within the next year there will be a few Z's stuck at that hp level until an upgrade is available. I haven't found an "affordable" alternative yet. The HKS 6-sp seq tranny seems to be the "best" alternative at the moment (~$8k). I spoke with Quaife > who makes the Greddy / Trust 6-sp seq tranny which is $10K and is prone to breaking at 800rwhp+. I watched one break last week on a badd arse GTR WOW! There may be a chance in the Borg Warner T56 tranny. It is the stock tranny on the new Vetts and Vipers and supposedly can hold 1000hp. The TT Vipers are laying down 850rwhp and the stock tranny is holding it. Here is what I understand..... The early model Z31's were running a Ford T5 tranny. The tranny eventually developed into the T56 (T5 + the 6th speed = T56). NEWays, if this tranny could bolt to the old VG30E then it may bolt to the VG30DETT. Aftermarket gears are available and they are not that pricey at around $3500. I will post this question in a separate thread. Maybe some of you stateside guys can dig around and find if this is a possible solution.
If that doesn't work I might just go with a OS Giken 5-gear replacement tranny upgrade. That should hold up to 750rwhp.
: Devin Will probably have the most powerful 300ZX on the forum. Others won't even come close (maybe within 100-200RWHP) I can assure you guys of that. Remember he already had a 3.56L motor before he decided to go even more horsepower.
: The only problem is that he is oversees. So it won't be the most powerful one in the US. I personally think B-Ster will be the most powerful 300ZX in the US then a few others running very close. And I mean real close like within 50RWHP. : Cars to look for are
