I was saying you ( meaning in general ),not you, you. Sure the market for audio in general like all things has producted some awesome advancements in componets over the years and since I first started. I was running Pioneer GM 4000 amps when I started. If your talking records than Ido know about those. I was in the 150+db class in the late 80 to early 90's, but went into the Marines in late 91. Where you got your information on less is more is very untrue. Please tellme how you think this. Look at ALL the record holders in SPL drag wars. The fewest I know of is 4 18" Strokers. I know that volume and size play a very big part in it. But you have more room inside you fill the spaces with more power and more subs with thousands of watts. The thing I was seeing when I would go to these, where that the monster SPL trucks and vans need outside generators to run there SPL test for like 10 to 15 seconds before that shut them down. Even Fosgate with it's many versions I'm sure mini van. The one I sat in in 1990 had for pro 18's and 6 power 1000 amps running it. Then was long before if you didnt get a sponser, your just wasting your time. Those that did, where mostly car audio shop owners that had 30k sound systems and the rich get richer case goes on. Are you in a class of two speaker sound off records that your doing? Because 160db's with two subs is down right awesome. Do you have pictures of yours or your friends set up's? How many batteries, caps do you run? Sounds cool :) [ http://www.cerwinvega.com/products/mobileaudio/mobileaudio_news.html#6 ]
