well. There is definate exhaust sound difference when the wastegates open up. When it does hold on. Yes, there is the tight bend, but that would be there anyways with internal and externals wastegates. The bend doesn't really matter because the purpose of the wastegate is the relieve excess exhaust. It would only matter when you were encountering boost creep and can't get the excess pressure out fast enough. It doesn't take much opening on the wastegate to control boost.
