Message	Halon was great for putting out fires, but it destroys the ozone layer and is being banned like other CFC's are. Also, Halon is poisonous when it is heated up as it breaks down into poisonous byproducts. So if you ever have to use the extinguisher you might gert a whiff of something that hurts your lungs. I doubt you'll find it easy to find someone that refills these... it'll be the same deal as refilling air conditioners that use phased out refrigerant.
