Message	You are thinking of a piece of crap stock muffler, or the flowmaster type shown in this pic: it has baffles, etc inside it. Notice the HORRIBLE pressure drop from the unchecked expansion into the can and the contraction again to go out the end. Also, the flow does numerous 90's and/or 180's, again HORRIBLE loss in pressure. The GReddy products are the antithesis of this. Straight thru(NO bends, let alone 180's), NO area changes.
