Many people on this forum choose to flame the hell out of nitrous oxide no matter what the fact, for some weird reason it's called rice by some, dont ask me why. Some people however will tell you the honest truth and that is obviuosly what you are looking for here. Steamyz is one person on this forum who has been runnin nitrous for awhile. He would really be a good source of info if you truly want to put nitrous in your car. His email is steamyz@ztoyz.net and he usually will answer any and all your questions. Nitrous really comes down to how well you get it installed and how mature you are with the sytem. Yes, if you constantly shoot nitrous over and over within a short amount of time it will effect if not destroy your engine. However if you only shoot when running your car for times slips or in the rare case of a street race where you fall behind and that little boost will give you an edge then you should be fine (dont street race!), giving that you do get it installed properly. It really isn't that hard to install but get someone who knows whats up. Also get the kit made for the 300zx and run the wet kit. Don't get a dry kit since it makes it hard to make the mixture of fuel and nitrous perfect and many times causes detonation within your engine, very very bad. Talk to steamy and let him tell you more, I just know from friends experiences, I don't actually have a kit on my car but plan on it in the near future. Good luck and I hope that helps you a little.
