basically, there have been a number of cars w/ UD pulley that have thrown rods and blown engines, etc., and believe that the pulley was at fault or at least partially to blame. the majority of these were high HP TT's, but there have been others as well. there are also a number of cars that have had it and are doing just fine w/ no problems to speak of related to the pulley. the decision that i came to in regards to the pulley is that it is worthwhile if you want a little bit more power out of your NA, but if i had a TT, i would avoid it. there are more, and safer, ways to squeeze power out of a TT.
