I used to have a UR but as soon as the SCC issue [#5 or 6]with Mike K's car hit the stand and I read it I knew I had to have it. Then it was just about uniqueness 'cuz I didn't know crap about effects/gains whatever, so when the time came to do the timing belt service I read up on it a bit and went ahead and bought it, yeah it's just under 7.5lbs so it's more than 2X the UR but the damper part is held on a "sprung hub" type mechanism so it's more like 4lbs at the crank the rest of the weight comes into play only at higher RPMs when it spins up. I noticed a real difference in how the engine revved up and no powerloss as you would expect from actually putting more weight [than the UR one] on the crank plus it feels really smooth, no engine vibration though the steering wheel whatsoever. Well worth the $$, like I told someone before, I'm an NA so I won't be producing earth-shattering HP anytime soon, but TT guys willing to spend $6k plus on engine upgrades should look at it as insurance, so what it costs double the UR and u may not get "top" HP gains, turn the boost up and you make up for that, even though the UR hasn't been linked to any type of failure better to spend an extra $200 now than an assload more trying to fix your engine later. Here's mine :-)
