Message I am just curious to know. I just got some wheels the other day and the guy asked me if I wanted to go ahead and get an alignment. I told him that the car felt fine and I didn't wish to do so at that time. Well, when I got home, I noticed that the inside of my old right front tire (the OEM ones that came off) was pretty worn down. And those tires only had about 1500 to 2000 miles on them. None of the others looked worn at all. So now I am worried and I want to fix it before I eat up these waaaaayyyyy more expensive tires.

But I was just wondering. I can see that with adjustable parts (Stillen arms, etc.) that you can change it. But how is an alignment done on non-adjustable OEM parts. Is there something that I am missing? Do they add or take away shims from somewhere? Just curious. Not looking to try to DIY or anything dumb like that, just trying to gain some smarts on the matter.

TIA
