I go home lastnight and on my ans mach is a mssg for Laura from PowerTrain Industries. John wanted to confirm her driveshaft order and if she still even had her 300ZX. I don't know who gave him my home #. I'll have a hell of a time explaining that she lives with me (the guy that did the group buy) now heheh. ANYWAYS, I call up and talk to Brian (head man, John is on vacation as of today). He said they just moved it over to their production plant which is a more automated production so they can crank these out. They kept making these at their local shop purely by hand because of the problems they were running into, now said to be all solved. He said he has a few thousand feet of tubing scheduled to arrive the 1st week of Nov and should take care of everyone. I asked him that if he sends out this batch and there's no major vibe probs, if I could round up the others for the same price. Reason being, some were scetchy because of earlier shafts with vibe probs. So, I told him to expect another group of 40-50 if all goes well and I post that ad again. So, you guys that have been scared to call in and order, just relax a couple weeks and you can decide if you want in. Now that they're more automated and they have the tubing, they should be able to knock them out.
I was trying to get the DS to do a before and after dyno tomorrow on her car at Stillen, but they said it was at their plant south of here. I wouldn't have time to get it tonight. Once again, I don't get a cent off of this, so know my intentions. I then asked him about Supra's, he said they can't make them for the new ones because of some rubber flange. He said they could experiment, but it don't look like it'll happen. Well, count another up for the Z in mods heheh.
