Aluminized steel is simply mild steel piping with an aluminum layer on it to inhibit rust. When you polish the pipes, you end up going through the aluminum layer because it is very thin. The SS pipes will be better because once they are polished, you dont have to think about it again as they wont rust. However, with the steel, I have to be sure to hand polish them with some mothers every month or so to keep them from rusting. The mothers polish has silica in it which puts a nice coating on them which lasts a long time and keeps them from rusting. I should just clear coat them, but I just haven't messed with them yet.. The thing to keep in mind is that there is a price premium on the SS piping and it adds ~$50 to the total cost, putting it up at like $140 from $90 for the aluminized steel pipes. Either way, it is cheap as hell in comparison to what's out there. : If so, they look awesome. Did you get the Stainless Steel, or polish the alumnum ones yourself? : I'm definatly in on this deal. : CowBoy : Silver 91 NA-Becoming "Dark" soon
