Went to a monthly local Z club meeting last nite and we had a guest speaker who drove for NASCAR series and also run a high speed driving school business. They use those high performance cars to teach you how to drive or they drive you around for 4 laps at the speed over 150mph+ and let you feel the G force for $90. Or you can take class for like 3 hours and they will let you drive for 10 laps for $350ish with instructor sitting next to you. You can go as fast as you can with instructor's appoval of your level (they can smell if you are going to hell with him) Or you can also take 1/2/3 days class and with these package, you drive along without instructor mumbling/yelling next to you like when you first take the drving test :-) But they could be costly. If I could remember, the 2/3 days package cost around $1k-ish. Lots of firms have booked with them for their employees for promotion, entertainment, etc with them and they have already booked up till next Feb, but they still offer classes to individuals. I don't remember what this school called, but they are closed to Texas Motorspeedway. If you thought you could drive fast, go there adn you probably would scare yourself hell out of it.
