is a big deal as if to close or to far away will change max and min temp reading. what brand are you going to go with or do you know? maybe contact one of the engine gurus here and see what they think. Again I am sure this is not much help for you, oh and keep fabing, your stuff makes for real interesting reading. You need to open up a full blown R&D shop.
