There are several ways to combat the pop ups. I use Mozilla ([ www.mozilla.org ]) which has specific options as to what a web page can and can't do (allow/disallow unrequested windows is in there). There are also several kinds of pop up killers along the lines of live system scanning like a virus scanner. I think Zonealarm makes one, Mcafee makes one too... I haven't used those though. I prefer mozilla since it's very configurable and it's also the same code netscape uses, so all the plugins work. Hope that helps...
