Message I'm building this because I want what everyone out there with a sports car desires. The software will be free. The hardware is what will cost you. I wont be selling it, I'm giving my part away for free. The hardware will be purchased directly from the hardware manufacturer and you can just download the software for free from me. You already own rights to the software in your ECU and you also have the right to do anything with the maps that you want.

You have a very valid argument about the maps of the ECU, I will have to look into the legality of putting that on my website. But I dont see any harm in putting a map that I developed myself on my website for anyone to see. Just have to clarify the legalities of it all. I really dont see why Nissan would do anything about my having that on my site anyway. The car is a discontinued model and they only stand to benefit from people having this as an option.

This is all in the works though..

: 1) Don't even use anything on JWT as Base Line
: 2) Don't the stock ECU as a baseline
: 3) Rent a dyno and develope your own baseline

: Watch out for JWT and Nissan getting on your back for software infringment.

: The technology is there to make fuel maps and ignition maps the question is do you have the knowledge to develope an actual ignition map that is not someone else?

: This sounds like a cool project just watch out for your own sake you think you have problems with your local police dept that will seem like eating ice cream on your mother lap if you get Nissan or JWT on you.
