Look down there in my signature file and you'll see two maps and a little line talking about a Windows interface for tuning your ECU. I have been working with an electronics company on developing an EPROM emulator for use with our ECU's that will allow you to use a computer and via a serial interface, adjust parameters within the ECU for tuning purposes. It will allow you to adjust your fuel maps, timing maps, rev limiter, speed limiter, injector size, etc etc etc. You can also create, save and load your own maps for differing situations such as a fuel economy program, racing program, or even a valet program with a 30MPH, 2500RPM rev limiter (or whatever you would like to set the parameters to). The device will not require a computer to function. Just plug it into your ECU (it must be socketed) and load a map and you're ready to go. I will be supplying base maps for different configurations, of which you can take to a dyno tuner and have them revised for peak performance/fuel economy, whatever your little heart desires. I will be recieving the propotype emulator later this week and playing with it this weekend and integrating the control sequences for the emulator into my interface to finalize the prototype configuration. This system will put an end to my current ridiculous configuration/adjusting setup which has restricted me to pulling my chip, erasing it, modifying the binary, writing the new chip and then installing it. Hella slow method and it doesn't allow me to easily switch between programs (race mode and fuel economy mode; I dont take my car to places with valet :)) So, just an FYI folks.... A really sweet alternative to a JWT ECU upgrade is just around the corner.
