well at least to my point of view. I think and have heard that they dont want to name it the skyline because over here in the US when we think of skyline we only think of the Skyline GTR. If word were to come out that the "skyline"(g35) is comming to the US in late 2002 as a 2003 model people would automatically assume GTR. Most of the public does not know that the GTR is a version of the skyline, and that the skyline comes in sedan form. So people would be looking at the G35 coupe as a dissapointment because it would be thought of as the skyline GTR,which is supposed to be competeting with higher performance cars. It is most likley left out to keep the public aware that this is not the skyline GTR model and that the GTR is still to come. Basically left out so there is no confusion.
