Message Same Post just smaller pics.

First off, thanks to streetchallenge.com for hosting the pics. However, it said that they were too big for whatever reason (all less than 500k). So hopefully they will stay up there for a little while.

BACKGROUND:
My father has a Z, but he thought it was time that he spent some money his 98 Lexus GS 300. For you that don't know the car, it is an inline (same as the NA Supra Engine) with 227hp. SRT racing did all of the work. The guy that owns the shop is the KING of Lexus. Kind of like JWT, Stillen, SGP, Greg...etc. I don't know all the details about the car, but I will try to fill in where I can. SRT has modded all the Lexus models except for the GS 300. So my fathers car is the prototype car. So there is still some work to be done on the car.

The car dynoed at 280rwhp. After the move the intake and change one of the pullies...they expect to be around 310 - 320rwhp. The supercharger has 7.5psi of boost. After they change the pulley, it should go up to 8.5psi. They are going to move the intake somewhere cooler and maybe redo some of the piping. It also has bigger injectors now. Lexus (not sure about Toyota) don't use a float for measuring your gas level. The computer goes off by the size of the injector. So now when his guage says 1/4 tank...it means it is empty. It has another computer for the car (sounded like just a fuel controller). It has another one that tells the ECU about the increased air flow for the intake.

It really hauls. It's a little heavier than the Z, but it probably would give a Stage III TTZ a good run for it's money. It's hard to say who would win. The Z has the weight advantage, but the Lexus doesn't really have a turbo lag.

More things are to come with the car. Probably an upgraded torque converter, couple of strut braces, Supra TT brakes, and maybe a few other things.

STORY:
So my father an I take the car out to play. As we are going down the highway (Rt. 7 for ya NoVa people) we see a couple of kids in a Z28. We were going about 63mph and they are coming up behind us, but still a little back. My dad goes, "These kids probably think they are pretty hot in their Z28...I'll show them hot " My dad just nailed it. We are up to 85 in a blink of an eye. We slow down and get ready to make our exit. Then you see in the rear view mirror these kids trying to catch up. As we are getting off the exit the kids passed us. The passenger in the Z28 gets half his body out the window giving us the biggest smile and thumbs up I've ever seen. I can only imagine what they were thinking when we took off.

Anyway, the car is cool and pretty fast. It's a great sleeper. The supercharger sounds great. Here are the pictures. Sorry for the long message.
