First off I tightened up my throttle linkage. It was so loose I had remount the bracket you adjust it off of! I guess that's what 150k does. Then I bled out the clutch (again...) and after that there was no need to re-adjust the pedal. Lastly I installed some Stillen test pipes. :-) Whoever said it is a 90 minute job must work at Midas and have access to air tools and a lift. For the average DIY'er, it is at least a 3 hour job. Not to mention my cats had been removed twice in the last month while doing clutch work so it should have been easy to remove. I found out the Stillen flanges are a lot thicker than the Greg D. ones. What that doesn't tell you is that you need longer bolts than the ones in there. The Greg D. kit comes with bolts (it doesn't need!) and the Stillen one doesn't. FYI, I picked up 10 SS M8 x40mm bolts w/ nuts and washers to go with them. Now for the good stuff. B&B with gutted pre-cats and test pipes = smile on my face! No real difference in sound below 3500rpm but above 3500rpm the previously "slightly muffled" sound just growled! :-) I still think the biggest change in sound came with gutting the pre-cats (4 SBS) but this ranked a close second. A definite decrease in spool time also. I've only been able to do a few 3rd gear pulls but there is definitely more power and better responsiveness. I'll post some pics of the Stillen vs. Greg D. test pipes and Stillen test pipes vs. cats. I also took some audio of the pre and post test pipe install on the B&B's. :-) Does anyone know of a good audio editing program? It came out way too quiet on the recording and I need to turn it up a bit. -TTony P.S. I would have went with Greg. D. testpipes but I got a great deal on the Stillen stainless steel pipes that I couldn't pass up.
