Message Platinum sucks as a conductor but lasts forever.

Copper is WAY better ... until they coat the end electrode in some nickle-chrome alloy for strength ... then they suck just as bad.

Plus, they put resistors in all those to suppress AM radio noise at the expense of fuel mileage and performance (who uses Am radio??!).

Get an all silver plug. Lasts longer than copper with much better spark than platinum.

Beru (nology?) makes one that fits a TT. I forget the exact dimensions though ... you have to match it by gasket, length etc. They're about $7 each ... not the cheapest, but less than plats.
