the exact time is not an issue. What is an issue is that I said I would look into making a set of hard pipes for you, that was costly to do and I decided against doing that for the sole reason that it would have cost ~$300 for them. So I offered a short shifter instead and you declined. If anything, you could have taken the shifter and sold it for money, but you didn't. That's where the gift negotiations stopped. I clearly remember the delay in shipment and everything that we went through before you recieved the tranny. IT was hell on both of us but you did recieve the transmission and I never intended to take your money and give no product. For the sake of these troubles and feeling bad for yourself, I proposed the offers I mentioned above. I'm terribly sorry you are having all of these problems but with all of the information you gave me through the course of time about what was happening to your car pointed to 'other' items, not the tranny. Ring gears coming off aluminum flywheels dont happen because the tranny has a problem. Even the problem you were having with reverse gear grinding *sounds* like a tranny problem, but when you break it down and understand that the only reason it would grind is if either a) your car is rolling when you try to engage it or b) the clutch is dragging. I've seen those aluminum flywheels go to dung and quite a few people have complained about them. The friction plates warp, screws come loose, I have witnessed all kinds of nasty stuff happen with them. I dont know what flywheel or clutch you have in there now, your emails stopped months ago. I dont even know exactly what the problem you are having is at this point. A few questions for you about your car: Do you know what kind of lube they used in the tranny?
What kind of flywheel do you have?
What kind of clutch do you have?
Have you replaced the clutch slave cylinder?
Have you replaced the clutch master cylinder?
Does it grind going into reverse still? Answer these questions for me and I will do my best to help determine what the problem is, what may have caused it and what may be done to correct the problem. I would like to say at this point that most people would tell you to get lost, especially after making a post of this nature on an open forum like this. But I told you from the point you told me you had problems that I would work with you to try and resolve the issue. You can't just disappear for months on end and then come back like this and expect for someone to be helpful, but I hope to prove to you that I am concerned with the problems you are having and I'm willing to help you with them. I just need you to communicate with me in a level-headed manner and not like this. Hope to hear from you soon!
